A biodiversity index is used to measure the number of species and subspecies in a biome. The 3 main types of index are:
Simpson index: This index measure the species richness and the % of the subspecies in a sample area, this proportion define the importance of a specie in a biome.
Shannon-Wiener index: Also called Shannon index, this type of index is really similar to Simpson`s. It measures the subspecies and its proportion in a specific zone. Simi
